What is KT gold?Updated 6 months ago
Gold is measured in Karats (KT) to describe the amount of gold used in an item.
Gold is measured out of 24KT which is 99.9% gold- although most items are 14KT gold or 18KT gold which would mean they are 14/24 parts gold or 18/24 parts gold.
The remaining parts are mixed with other metals like zinc, nickel, silver, copper, or rhodium to make sure they are strong and durable as 24KT is rather soft.
