NEW ERA HATSUpdated 11 days ago
How do I know what size New Era hat to buy?
Measure the circumference of your head using a soft measuring tape, positioning it just above your eyebrows and ears.
Once you have your measurement, compare it with the New Era Size Guide HERE to find your best fit.
Are New Era hats true to size?
New Era fitted hats generally fit true to size. If you fall between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size for a more comfortable fit.
What's the difference between fitted, stretch fit and adjustable hats?
Fitted: Available in specific sizes with no adjustable closure.
Stretch Fit: Features a flexible band designed to fit across a range of sizes.
Snapback: Features an adjustable snap closure at the back.
Strapback: Features an adjustable fabric strap or buckle at the back.
What if I'm between two sizes?
If your measurement falls between two sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger size for a more comfortable fit.
Do New Era hats stretch over time?
Fitted hats may relax slightly with regular wear, but they are not designed to stretch significantly. We recommend choosing the correct size from the beginning rather than relying on the hat stretching over time.
Can I exchange my hat if it doesn't fit?
Yes! If your hat is unworn, in its original condition and meets the requirements of our Returns Policy, you can lodge a return or exchange.
Do all New Era styles fit the same?
Not necessarily. While New Era sizing is generally consistent, the fit and feel can vary between styles such as the 59FIFTY, 39THIRTY, 9FIFTY and 9FORTY due to differences in crown shape, structure and construction.
How should a fitted hat fit?
A fitted hat should feel snug and secure without being uncomfortable. It should sit comfortably on your head without causing excessive pressure or leaving deep marks on your forehead.
Why does the same size feel different in another colour or style?
Minor variations can occur between individual hats, colours and production batches due to normal manufacturing tolerances. This can sometimes cause two hats labelled as the same size to feel slightly different.
Can I shrink or stretch my fitted hat?
We do not recommend intentionally shrinking or stretching your hat. Doing so may damage the hat, alter its shape or affect the overall fit.
What do the New Era style names mean?
59FIFTY: Structured fitted cap with a flat brim.
39THIRTY: Stretch fit cap with a curved brim.
9FIFTY: Adjustable snapback with a flat brim.
9FORTY: Adjustable structured cap with a curved brim.
9TWENTY: Relaxed, unstructured adjustable cap with a curved brim.
Where can I find the size of my New Era hat?
For fitted hats, the size can generally be found on the sticker on the brim and on the label inside the hat.
Other New Era styles may be labelled with sizing such as Small/Medium, Medium/Large or One Size, depending on the style.
